Default Version 6 Sti - What are they worth

What are these worth now, say one is in good condition with approx 140,000 km's, just after the general idea from the savy PWRX crew...

10yr old car, I would say its not worth more than 15-18k. But for some strange reason, people seem to be asking anywhere up to $25k for them, and actually getting it!

What's better?........ Newer is 'Better' ? why? because it's more expensive, has a 6 speed and bling Brembos?

I'll never sell my V6....... I'm sure mine was the cheapest purchased locally so far ($14,500). Yeah it's rough around the edges but it gets the job done and keeps asking for more.

I'll never sell it.

Sound like many of you have never driven one / are talking out of your asses.

^ Agreed

Dont hate on v5/v6 just because they are 10 years old cars. They are the most refined GC8s you can get in Aus.

Newer cars doesnt mean they are better anyways...most of the shit at the front are plastic. More cost effective for the manufacturers and more money for them. Once plastic break, you'll have to buy a new piece. Yaris/colts - they have about 20million pieces at the front.

Just thinking about it, newer sti's are going for:

Bugeye - $24-28 000
Peanut - $31-35 000

^^ Going on that, I wouldnt pay any more than low 20's for a gc8 sti
The members I know who own gc8 sti's got them for less than 20 grand.
