Lol, so much Colt hate. You GC8 fanboys fire up so easily.
If you love your car, good for you. I love my Colt. But im not going to ask crack money for it when it comes time to sell it.....

I love the way people get their 'backs' up in some threads, I started this to get people's views of what the Version 6 Sti is worth, let's get back on track
As a side note though I have owned the following Subaru's :- . RS Liberty . Version 6 Sti . 2006 Spec C . Now I have a Version 6 WRX (2000) The best car for driveability was the Spec C, it felt safer and more glued to the road than the other Subies I have owned, but the GC8's still look good though!! |

I reckon a low milage (~100k) version 6 is still worth around $22-25k in good nick. There is not a huge amount of them and the ones still around have generally been well looked after.

As with all cars, it is worth what someone is willing to pay for it, a good one would be worth high 20's ( eg as new interior and exterior, original car that is properly maintained, like with all the under body covers, perfect mechanical ie all new genuine hoses, shocks, bushes, whatever)
or high teens to low 20's for a car that is a little rough.

From Redbook:
V5: * Private Price Guide$19,400 - $22,800 * Trade In Price Guide$15,200 - $18,600 V6: * Private Price Guide$17,000 - $20,200 * Trade In Price Guide$13,200 - $16,400 So, opinion here is that the limited 2 door V5 is holding a $2K edge over the V6. That said, I'd still go the V6 in steel blue mica as being one of my all time faves, & if I was to buy another WRX that would be it (if I could find one totally or near stock). GC8 all the way .

Seeing that, I always say redbook is a couple of thousand $ lower than what it should be, because the higher quantity of eastern states cars pulling the avg down. So, if you add 1 or 2k, $22k for a low km V6 sti wouldn't be totally crackpipe I guess... It would have to be in great condition tho, for it to be worth too much over that!

Seems like the only ones artificially pumping up the value/worth of V6 STi's are V6 STi owners - conflict of interest perhaps??
