How is it an "artificial price" if people are prepared to & DO pay $23-25k + for them???

Conflict of interest??

A conflict of interest can only exist if a person is entrusted with some impartiality; a modicum of trust is necessary to create it. The presence of a conflict of interest is independent from the execution of impropriety.

They are worth whatever someone is prepared to pay for them at the end of the day......

Had a look at the price of original genuine Mazda RX-3's lately?
$17-30K + for restored / modified RX-3 coupes......A $4700 car when new.

The Classic Sti's have a following, hence the demand for them, and is why people are prepared to pay good dollars to get hold of one.

Lol... 6 pages.

Did Gavin get a straight answer? Everyone's gonna be biased towards their own car - end of story. Be it Subaru or not.

Heck, I went from a 2000 model wrx, to an 02 Sti, and the 'UGLIEST CAR THEY MADE' <shits> all over the old car, in terms of everything, except its 'chuckability'...

No way would I choose a classic now over a GD Sti. (For a dedicated road car/weekend track hack). Dedicated race car though - different story.

Brent.

I am looking at this one here, only issue is, it is in NSW....

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Needs some work, but don't see many this low, if there was one in WA for close to $20K I could be tempted...hint...hint..

Mine was in better condition & I paid $14,500 (local - Mandurah).

Looking at the front tyres someone's been out doing pre-sale helis...........

If so, all the doors are going to need paint as they're going to be stone chipped to billy-o.
