Just wanted to know any places in w.a. where you can get a helmet that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Anything with a SHOEI/Arai badge = $500+...

Just want something that'll get the job done (skidpans, trackdays, etc).

OR Even better is there anywhere you can just rent a helmet? (Stupid question maybe but I wont know if I dont ask).

The motorbike shops near the causeway on albany Hwy in Vic Park do ISO approved open face helmets for $60 - $70

wander through them and you'll come across the helmets.

Sweetness. Will check them out. I know helmets are vital for safety in motorsport but I had no idea they'd be that expensive (I was thinking $200 max....was sadly mistaken).

It is a one-time/long-term purchase though. I did check out the KTM Causeway Ducatti Site, They have a few helmets in the $100-250 range. May just drive down and see them.
