Default Who remembers before WRX....???!!!

Was just thinking back before the WRX came on the scene in the early 90's for those old enough to remember, what were your early rides?
I was driving my Lancer GSR 4WD Turbo.
Rally Australia was full of such things as Lancia Delta Integrales, Mitsubishi Galants, Liberty RS turbos, Toyota Celicas etc
I must be getting old as they seemed like good times, dare i say it !

I had an Aussie AE86 that I bought with front damage and converted to Jap Levin spec. It was a great car and I loved it but a friend had an almost new RS Liberty, one drive and I needed one too.
Lancia Delta Integrale 16v Evoluzione would still be high on my list of favorite cars though. Most of the 80's and 90's rally cars are special. RS1800, Quattro, ST165, E30M3 etc. I'd love a collection like Juha Kankkunen has.

I had an Escort RS2000 bought new in 79 and sold in 91 & a few V8's either side of that before discovering turbo power 6yrs ago.

I love the look of the Gen1 Legacy and the Gen4 Celica. Still have the ST162 as my daily but really wished it was the ST165 instead. Good times!
