I've replaced my stock parts on my car due to wear or light scratches, nothing wrong with wanting your car in showroom condition.

Same here. I have spent thousands of dollars on trims, seals, rubbers, right down to all the vacuum lines etc to get my car looking nice again. Just because a car is say 10 years old and done a few km doesnt mean it has to look and feel like it is a old car.

I buy all my parts from subaru, and they are expensive. but they are much better than what else is out there on the (after)market.

Not 100% convinced on that. I think it definately pays to shop around. JMEs steering wheel for example is hella cool

My first preference is STi parts as replacement
You know it will be pretty straight forward fitment
Secondly, JDM if possible.
A little bit more exie, but the japs know their quality and mechanical bits
And generally, no stuffing around if you buy the right item for the right model, straight fit

Or some of the tried and tested american labels like Perrin is pretty good too
Even better when the US dollar is crap
