there are a few gc8s with 6 speeds around. Plus in terms of looks gc8 destroys the bugeye. More than enough for the lack of brembos. Can easily upgrade the rotors/pads and will still be cheaper. I will post my gc8 pics soon.

[edit] Has got 6 speed + upgraded brakes. Although not an official sti but looks pretty much the same apart from wing.

having just recently been on the exact same search you are haiison and having test drove and looked at several v6's and bugs, i was going to end up getting a bug

i personally love the look of the v6 and gc8's in general

v6's are a rawer car to drive and i actually like the feel of them, i don't even think not having brembos is the biggest deal in the world until you get to track work

the bug however looks newer, has a much nicer interior and the 6 speed which is worth 5k+ is much easier to drive than the 5

and although the v6 looks meaner in a stock form, if you dump the bug on it's arse and smash the right 18's on there it will look mean anyway

If I could find a v6 sti with 6spd, 207 and brembo's it would be hard to go past it, except that they are getting old, interiors are old etc etc...

So, Bug would be my choice unless the perfect GC8 came up.

Join the V6 GC8 Club - there aren't that many of them around.

It's a no brainer for me because the GC8 shape and those who drove them (Colin of course) are what got me interested in Subarus in the first place, and aside from the 22B the V6 is the ultimate expression of that shape.

Drive something rare, rather than something with bug eyes

If your buying a wrx for interior looks your an idiot, so thats 1 all

GC8 flexes more, but weighs less, so 1-1 again
