Pity Dougie from STechnic has gone on holidays as he really knows his stuff when it comes to inspecting cars and finding Dodgey stuff, I think Damo is still there so you should go see him. If you can't then MMS do thorough inspections aswell. Oh and do you mind telling us the price you paid etc?

I love how the RAC are seen to be a superpower keeping everyone else under their watchfull eye. Long gone are the days of a not for profit motoring club, make no mistake, they're in it for the money like everyone else.
Edit; Just saw Wayno's post above...any of the workshops listed in the sticky will have a better idea what to look for than a worn out, old, busted-back inspector who tells you the wiper blades are due. |

I'll update ya after tomorrow... And yes will be taking it to ASG, or one of the other workshops you mentioned.... |

If you agree on a price make sure you put on the contract "Subject to my personal satisfaction of an inspection at the place of my choice" BEFORE YOU SIGN then organise to take the car to be inspected before you hand over any cash!
That way you're legally covered if you want to cancel the contract as all you have to say is "I'm personally not satisfied with the inspection findings" same they can't say shit and the price of the inspection could save you thousands of dollars later on.

I recently found my bugeye sti
I looked activly for 18months. Had several cars looked over... Finally found one i was happy with in bunbury. Well worth the wait + money + effort. Just be sure to know exactly what to look for. ie check the vin - it has to be a GDB impreza for a Bugeye sti. Check the dates on the seatbelts blah blah blah. Trust me. Worth the wait for the right car.

Due to tightening of the budget i was actually looking for a bugeye until this came along.... There has literally been zero bugeye sti's worth buying in recent times...i did see a silver one with low kms going for a good price and when i got the money together, it was sold!..... You end up getting a good price for that white bugeye? (im guessing its the one in your sig) |

Dont forget to do your usual revs check and stuff.
Its good to know if a vehicles has been in a crash or not. Just a heads up... If your looking at the black bugeye sti thats on carsales, its had rear end damage in the past.
