Any reason you wouldn't look used? There are 09/10Spec Rs going for mid $50s with under 10k on the clock...

I wouldn't buy a new car unless it was drastically reduced - and this is after selling them for 2 years. Waiting months for one is insult to injury...

I meant 11 is better than 09/10

this guy is upgrading from an 09 to a 11.. not much point upgrading from an 09 to a 10.. when we are halfway through 2011. It wouldn't be much of an upgrade would it?

and Russ, because I bought one - and that's my opinion

Each to their own, same way some people would never own a Bug eye, classic or pig nose.

I just dont think there is much of a difference between 2010 sti Spec R and 2011 STi. I know which one i would choose. Stuff the 1 year difference in build date. 2012's will be out in a few months anyway....

Drive that 135i first. See how you go (they are an awesome all-round package)

Over 73k driveaway is crack pricing for an STI even if you are getting more car for your money (so much for the STI being bang-for-buck...)

Is waiting for the MY12 out of the question? If not, I'd wait and see what those will look like (the potential is there), mind you it will probably cost the same if not more than the current gen.

If I have to wait til August for a MY11, I might as well wait a couple of months for the MY12 if it really is coming out soon.

Will the shape change at all? I spoke to the dealer and he told me the current shape will be around for years since it has only recently been realeased. I don't mind waiting if it looked like this..in fact, I will definitely wait if it looks like this
