I've wondered about this with my car, it's a personal import...on my rego forms it clearly states 'exempt from ADR's' i assumed it meant exactly that but does it need to meet any regulations eg emissions?

in the process of 'modding motherfucker to the shithouse'

sorry for OT

Cheers for that bit of info, I wasn't aware of it.

Hey Chaddles is that on your rego renewal form or the original rego paper when you took the car over the pits to be licenced?

If this one is in as good a condition as it appears to be and it can be properly licensed I would expect it to be somewhere around $65k.

Had the same thought Brendon. A 2.2 rex on the corn would be half a chance against an evo. Nice nostalgic car too.

I am sure someone will pay too much for it at auction....although you can only hope that while there ar a lot of dreamers, there may not be alot of buyers with the coin.

rego renewal forms. I didn't bring it in and have no idea where the original rego papers are, my compliance plate isn't yellow but i assume that doesn't matter. Although now i think about it, the sticker on the door sill is...having barely laid eyes on my car for a year and a half i can't be sure!

I think it would be a hell of a fun car but I think an off chops Evo 9 RS with Evo 7 front and rear bar and matching lights would ultimately be a better thing in early modern.

Also if you binned it good luck getting genuine parts for less than a small african nations GDP.

It's a JDM imported to UK then to Aus. Had a 6 speed and some other junk in it when it came over here iirc.

Not one of the original 5.

Yep,

most of the reasons there why I went for an EVO. 22B would be too dear to buy to start with and then parts are drug money if you can get them. Evo bits are easy to get and they are defnately the weapon of choice for EM on a sensible budget. GTR or porka 996TT for those with deeper pockets.

As you say a 7/8/9 run as a VII would be the go in EM, although there was nothign wrong with the TME.

Stick with the dirty rotary on corn juice and lots of spare rear tyres idea Blaise. Buy a 22b and we'll have to do a photo shoot, hold hands and chat about how elititistly fast our cars are..........in the hands of someone else :-)
