Should have bought an STI

One idea I've always had is:

- Get a cheap Version 5 Aus Delivered STi, a race/rally 22B, then merge the two (for any authorities who may be reading the forum, I would legitimately register it by cutting off all the panels from the 22B and welding them onto the Version 5.. yep, thats how I do it, I wouldn't dream of changing the VIN and chassis numbers over to the 22B).

- Sell off all the left over 22B and Version 5 shit that isn't needed to recoup costs, so I'm left with a complete rolling wide body shell and bumpers, and any other bits that I might need.

- Paint it white, seam weld, weld in half cage.

- Fit some 18x9.5 +38 TE37s in white.

- Tomei 2.2 crate motor, manifold, Full Race GT30R, E85, 6 speed (or dog box), RA-R brakes, DMS suspension, etc etc etc.

- Carbon buckets, full alcantra interior, flocked dash, MoTeC ADL, etc etc etc etc

Result? Super fast RCM Gobstopper inspired street car, that pisses off all the Subaru purists (as we've just bastardised a legit hand robot japanese ninja built 22B).

Would your thread be 300 pages long without you having actually used the car?
