Same with my GC8. Although some bowsers are worse than others, so shop around.

Same with both of mine and all previous, handle goes in at about 9pm position & squeeze away, just a matter of finding the sweet spot.

Hahaha I did this a little too far one day ! Pulled it out too far and then clicked the trigger! Splashed back and all over my clothes ! attended work smelling delicious ! haha wonder what the bosses really thought !

They are a prick of a thing but nothing near as bad as an MGF I used to hire a bit when I wasn't home enough to own a car. 15 minute exercise every time!!!

As said already both Piggy and classic pull it out a little, end up and I used to turn it a touch anti-clockwise from where you'd reckon would be straight. Only ever hold the trigger half way in to.

Try all the pumps where you fill up. You will find a slightly easier one to fill from eventually.

My GC8 can be a bit of a pain to refuel too but giving the nozzle a bit of a wriggle usually sorts it out.

Another related trick...

It pisses me off that all comercial fuel bowsers have the catch disabled so you can just set the trigger on and walk away. What I do these days, is pull the trigger and jam your fuel cap underneath it to keep it opened. Then go wash your windscreen, lean against the bonnet looking cool, check oil etc.

*disclaimer - may be a reason they are disabled. Always ground your vehicle before filling up.

If the fuel pump accidentally clicks off though while you are away won't your whole process be flawed?
Otherwise sounds like a nifty trick. likeaboss.jpeg
