Default A blank canvas; what would you have done differently?

So there is a collective experience of about 40 trillion years on P-WRX. But everyone has regrets, if your car was returned back to OEM and you were given all your spent $$$$$ back, what would you do different, and why?

This probably sounds pretty lame, so I've donned the flamesuit, but I'm sure everyone has regrets, and maybe some of the newer generations of modifiers can learn a bit from others' mistakes?

For me, I would have spent less on the cosmetic mods to my last car, and invested in a stroker kit and twin scroll.

I wouldn't have bought my WRP10, instead i would have bought a GC8 possibly a V5/6 STI and used the excess money for a few power mods.

The joys of hindsight

I would have forked out the extra $13k and got myself a '99-'00 STI. Currently have stacks of loose ends to chase to achieve what I could have had in the first place.

Having said that, it has been nice tinkering and learning more about my car and getting it to where I want it to be. So it's not such a bad thing now, seeing as I have the time to spend on it.

Purchase type ra cut in half from Japan. Transplant into Aussie shell.

No tuning, mods or anything. Slap on a set of r-comps and drive it till it pops!

Alternatively, I've always wanted a 2 door. Do same and enjoy the car.

Would have waited for the 09 models to come out and would have purchased one in WR Blue instead of black.
It would still be mildly modified, but with what I know now, I could have saved a bit of money for other mods

Over insured the car, installed NOS, and pissed off the leader of an Asian motorbike/car gang.

Seriously!
