I would have waited a year and put money into a 6speed conversion version 5/6 instead of getting an 05 wrx.

GC's are just a delight to drive.

What would i have done differently? Paid some dude to implant a car starting microchip in my junk, instead of trusting the brant alarm to stop my car getting stolen..

Nope, i met my wife arsing about with cars - nil regrets :-) but yes definitely made mistakes which I wouldnt do again NOW.

Should have booked myself into a skidpan sooner, in order to learn how to handle the car properly....but there is no point regretting the past...we can only look forward to what the future holds

No regrets at all here. Money spent on cars over the years is all life experience stuff.
Met a lot of people, learned a lot of things.

not bothered with all the stereo gear that just slows the car down.

stuck with single scroll power.

Seems to be a few people wishing they had bought well modded, perhaps even caged gc8s throughout this thread well....mmm....
