To kick off I have 2...

1. Next to an escort with 1.6GL badge, and crappy flat black paint job.
Lights went green and I got the jump in first, but into second he cained
past, then got wheel spin into 3rd and was gone I drove home at 10
under the limit with a red face. I think the 1.6 badge was very deceptive.

2. Took off from a set of lights with an old VW beetle beside me. I
gave it a bit of stick coz I had just got my WRX. He thought it was a race
for some reason. I didn't know they put turbo's on VW beetles. Got my
ass handed to me He probably laughed all the way home.

One story.... wasnt embarrassing for me but it was for the other party....

I was down in Bunbury in my old car (R32 GTR). I had some fool in an S13 wanting to have a run, he honestly wouldn't leave me alone. Anyway, I gave in and we were at it. He dropped it probably 3 car lengths infront of me and we were off. I caught up to him easily and nosed in front a bit to prove that his car was a bucket of shit (drifted out neglected car...)

Just as I passed him I heard a big pop, I hit the brakes and he kept going. Next thing I see is his car shitting huge flames, followed by blue smoke.

He pulled into a carpark, and I followed him in. I got out of the car and asked what was wrong.

Long story short, his car was an SST special.

Ping is power people.

About 4 years ago now, Beefy and myself were driving to an SAU cruise in my RX7, cos his Skyline was off the road at the time, and we came up next to a poo brown LH or LX Torana with a single race seat on the drivers side, hub caps, primer spots everywhere, etc.

The guy rolls his window down and asks "wanna drag?"

Dan proceeded to tell him "uh, no thanks mate", and then he turns to me and says "smoke him".

When the lights went green, I had the jump for about 0.3 of a second, then I hear this massive whistle and this poo brown Torana disappears about 15 car lengths in front of me by the time I've just gotten across the intersection and into 2nd gear!!

I later found out that it was cranking more than 500 at the wheels with a turbo 202..

i missed launched, bogged down to a chick in a s15, then couldnt catch up

was racing my cousins BAGT i was beating him in first and second, i slammed it into third and ended up with my gearstick almost through my dashboard, i installed a short shift gear stick a few days earlier and the circlip became undone

and he BEAT A WRX !!!

His fastest time for the night was: 19.9 @ 105kph
