Quoting again if you want a response, this is the best way.

Because the majority of accidents happen when your car is parked in a garage

BEFORE calling your insurance company it may be viable to get a quote on repairs as once the the issue is logged its logged for good and the excess MAY outweigh the repair costs.

PM'ing an onsite member is a different story though.

I have a mate with a panel shop I was going to run it into on Tuesday to see how much I'd be looking at. Although I doubt my excess would outweigh the fixing cost as I'm pretty sure my excess is around $2-300 from memory? :/ fixing costs will be much more than that for sure.

Will be calling Shannon's next week after the quote and see what they have to say, unfortunately being emergency response on a gold mine I don't have time to wait around on hold on the phone

Overnight Marc..

If they knew it was parked at the camp down south overnight sometimes then they would adjust his premium accordingly, or would have denied his insurance policy upfront.
If im not mistaken the car needs a secure garage overnight to be considered at Shannons in the first place (for this very reason).

I hope they approve his claim, but to be honest i reckon its 50:50

So if you go somewhere and sleep over, i.e. the car is not in the garage, they can refuse your insurance? Highly doubt it.
