Sounds like good thinking, especially if it will never see the track.

Not sure what your budget is, but can you push to an 05? Updated interior...

budget is around $20 000 or less + Insurance + transfer

Which all up will hopefully be shy of $23 000

Upgraded suspension will come later, as well with any other mods that may take rise!

There was a nice 06 silver wrx, but, i prefer the look of a certain 04 blue wrx, over the silver 06

I would get the car first, enjoy it for a while and then look at modifying what you want.

Do a lot of research on here first (search) as all of these things have been covered numerous times before.

i.e. You don't want or need a boost controller on a GD. Retune will change the boost to the level required.

With that kind of budget, maybe have a look at the 06/ 07?

It's got the 2.5L which i prefer in traffic...also looks wise i think that shape is the best /bias

At least it's newer and you will be able to find a lower km example.

Look at the hot wrx photo thread for ideas on how certain models can look before ruling them out....used to hate bugeyes and hawkeyes until i saw some modified.

Yes.
Means it is a 2005 spec car that was released in the latter half of the 2004 calendar year. August onwards I think.

I'd rather an 04 STI over an 06 WRX too, but the cost is one thing, finding one i like the colour of in good condition is another thing

So you are happy to settle for less because you are impatient?

Not settling, getting a car i feel would be a better streetable car. Sure, I'd love an STI, have the full race feel, but, i've got other things to think about to, and i feel a WRX would be better suited to my lifestyle

Arranged with this guy to view his car on the weekend in perth
