Prices aren't really going down for sort after 6spd models....there`s more importers around now pilfering the jdm supply which makes even doing your own import legwork not as bigger cost saving 3 month wait it used to be.

Then there are muppets wanting 5-6k for shit diff boxes...that have hurdles like no speedo drive ffs

What are you planning on doing that will require 400hp?
If it's numbers you are chasing get someone to mark up a dyno plot and call it quits.

Seems like you bought a perfectly good STI. The car is pretty capable already.
Anything you do to it from here, won't see a return on investment.

Food for thought.

I take it you want to go fast, so I say go for it! :-)

I would be a little concerned about the V6 sti motor, the 02sti+ blocks EJ207's are almost legendary for their reliability unopened upto around 400hp. Cams make it easier. FMIC makes it easier. Can get 500hp.

It will still come on boost early enough with a FMIC, just that time to build boost when you snap on the throttle will be a little slower compared to a TMIC. If you go twin scroll turbo and headers, it will not be too bad at all.

just remember that a jdm 207 that you'll get in a front cut will have hypercast pistons, one of mine let go running 24psi ~ 280hp i wouldn't push an unopened jdm 207 past 200kw atw

and yes as rossco found out when he opened his version 6 207 up.... its was open deck
