Subaru allowed the butler tbe and ecutek tune as a package if they organised it at time of sale - all covered under factory warranty. The only two companies that Subaru did this with that I know of are Racetorque and Maximums. I believe they allowed it because ecutek would supposedly cover the engine if no other mods were performed and there was an issue.

serious? Wow.. That's great if the car still has a year of factory warranty left.

There's a reason why you should also read/understand contracts before you sign them.

I must disagree with you on that one. I can think of a few cars on here that would have aftermarket LC and taken better care of than many others without it.

^Agreed. Don't get hung up on the LC thing mate, go and test drive the cars and get a feel for them. I test drove six G3 STi's before settling on mine.

I wanted a spec-R but the three that I drove were clearly flogged. The other three base models were all pretty good overall. By the time I bought mine I was used to their little noises, quirks and character and was confident of my choice. Still would have like a spec-r though...

Good luck.
