I have had 17+ years of Hitech with a full 3"/Turbo back,7 inch Canon, with a 4" Resonated tip (5" tips drone). Looks like sex and is still legal volume 84db @ 4000rpm 1M/45deg. If you want quieter the Hitech dual tip classic muffler will suit a fastidious audiophile.

Cheers Guys, did you hear that monster stomp me at 7m50s up Mountain Straight? It humbling when you get lapped at any track, let alone one 6.2km long!

I'd love to drive on that track one day.

I've had both a XForce Canon and Butler single tip on my GC8. The Butler sounds sooo much sexier. Deeper note to it! I still have this on my GC8. Go the Butler and you wont have issues with the wife complaining!

I have the Hitech on it's way, due on Tuesday. Stainless, 3 inch twin tip, turbo back and high flow cat.

They said there would be no drone and if there was they'd pay for shipping and I could return it. Everything people has said has been positive about them and they sound good in youtube vids, although the vids I've seen that represent what I'm getting don't do it justice.

I guess I'll find out soon if they live up to the hype. I plan to video before and after because I couldn't really find a good source of that information myself.

Just an update.

I got the Hitech installed sounds and looks great, very happy. However resonator is only 7cm of the floor, although the stock exhaust would rub occasionally, car is quite low.

It was running rich but got the best fuel economy ever 9.9L/100, probably because I was trying to be careful while untuned. I got a tune for the exhaust just to smooth out the rev range and avoid any future issues, got an extra 15kw ATW too

However after the tune I've been having Idle rev hunting, sometimes getting close to stalling. I replaced the O2 sensor because tuner said issue went away while it was unplugged. Issue is a bit better now but still occurring and I'm still trying to locate the cause, my idle was pretty smooth before the tune but I'm told it's not the tune.

Final update, idle issues were fixed by swapping to the previous version of ecutek. I'm quite happy with the end result.
TROLLEY and Patch like this.
