Default DCCD settings

Hi guys, back in the Subaru fold with an 08 STI Tarmac rally car, I am trying to figure out what are the best settings for track use in both the wet and dry

It doesn't have SIdrive as it runs a haltech elite ecu but the dccd controller is still standard

It's a bit of a pain in the ass to adjust on the fly also as it has a racepak IQ3 digital dash that blocks the view of the standard dash with the DCCD control display

Anyway, any ideas on settings?

I have been told manual with the 3rd or 4th bar up in the dash for dry ( the one just before lock)

Cheers
BJ

Oh and I'm 99% certain the DCCD diff is standard even though my 6 speed is an Albins Group N gear set

I have the dccdpro controller, controlling a 2007 gdb sti gearbox in my car and i find full lock on the dial and auto mode selected results in the best performance for me at RAC. And without it (full open dial, and auto mode) the car can be as much as 10 seconds a run slower.

Hey Beau,

My betty is definitely a little bit quicker and more stable in the turns with the diff manually locked fully to the front. Needs a few more herbs to launch but also gets away smoother locked to the front too.

May depend on your suspension setup etc...

When you go from auto settings back to the manual setting it picks up where you last had it set in manual. Easy to do on the fly as you just push the one manual/auto button.

Thanks Nick, does it start I. Auto every time?

I think the suspention will be ok as it has remote canister MCA golds, and has been setup pretty well at that

Will have to do some testing to figure it out I guess, do you find it different in the wet?

DCCD defaults to auto every time but retains the previous manual setting.

Throttle map always defaults to 'S' if you were in 'S#' when you shut it off. Only defaults to 'I' mode if you were in it before stopping ignition.

Same deal in the wet, car is most stable locked to the front.

In both wet & dry it will understeer a touch more like this but not in a bad way if that makes sense.

I wind my coilovers up for the track and have bigger sways/links etc.

Just re-read your first post about the haltech ecu, move along nothing to see here.

Cheers nick, yeah ECU overrides the SIdrive, it now has a switch on the dash for wet and dry, in wet it limits the boost to 17 psi for the first 3 gears then goes to the standard 25

Thing has 410hp.... Gets it on
