Default New Turbo

Well my 02 Sti went to Justin at Bye performance earlier in the week for a tune check.

He found a few issues that he rectified and it makes a little less power than before but I am sure it is all to do with roller dyno v the previous hub dyno...

Makes a lot more torque now than it did..

We got chatting and he has stated the stock turbo is at it's limit and it would stand a bigger one quite easily

SO that got me on the research hunt.....

Well I found one yesterday and bought it.... Didn't last long before they cancelled the order though and refunded my cash.......spoilsports...

Plus they have now fixed their website

Oh well

On a side note has anyone got a TD05 20G with a 8cm housing on a 2.0?

how does it go?

This will not be a road car very shortly so road manners is not relaly important.

Any views?

on 98 or e85?

Would be very laggy on a 2L

Have a look at the Blouch Dominator 1.5XTR 7cm on 98 or 8cm on e85.

Running the 8cm on my 02 STI with e85, unopened 207;

Sneakynuts and Kaoself like this.

I'd also look into a VF34 with a P20 on e85.

Can run it at less boost for a safe track car and it will be stupidly responsive

Thanks

I was looking at the Kingeuwa as
1, Cheap
2, Recomended

Wont jump at it but I like to ask questions and research before spending cash

I would have thought the Dom 1.5 would be laggier than a TD05 20g... it's physically bigger?

That particular TD05 he was looking at was Journal Bearing vs Ball Bearing in the 1.5XTR...

Basing mine off my Bug vs Oli's FP Green - Essentially a TD05 20G I am pretty sure...

I'm on about 400RPM sooner

My dom 2.5xtr spools faster than my old blouch billet wheel td05-18g. And then made more more power at less boost. A dom is a hell of a lot better turbo than a td05
