Default Where to put a Fire Extinguisher

Hey Everyone

Those of you that have fire extinguishers in your WRX's where the best spot to bolt one into and have you had to make any special mods to accommodate one in the car itself.

Thanks

I have a 1kg with metal bracket. I was told to tek screw it into the passenger footwell, but im waiting for a favor so someone can weld some tabs onto it so it can bolt onto where the front passenger seat mounts to the floor pan.

Yep - in front or behind the passenger seat.

Don't mount in on the rear parcel shelf with plastic strips like some dickhead on the forum did some time ago.

I will measure up my bracket some time and draw up a design. Involves piece of steel that runs between front seat bolts and 2 small bushes to space it out correctly. No welding involved.

The bracket has bolt holes that line up with the seat rail bolts - easy.

Piece of flat bar, with 2 holes in it...bolt it in between the front seat rails, and bolt the fire extinguisher to that

i remember reading someone on rexnet made a flat metal bracket/plate that went between the two front passenger seat bolts and then the extinguisher bolted to that plate. looked pretty neat.

in the time it took for me to write this three other people said the same thing!! d'oh!

That dickhead could be me....dont judge me until u know me

On another note, i know the plastic bracket wont take the strain of the extinguisher so i have removed, like stated above, dont want it to be a projectile
