Have you just tried to pay rego? The pits are busy they may let it slide.

How did you try? Ringing up with credit card they may not be happy but post a cheque paying rego and the fine. They may just bank it instead of having to post it back with a letter of why they didn't.

Got nothing to lose by trying this. Date the cheque before your rego was due.
