Yeah well, they had the rainiest June (and carbombiest) on record, apparently. Cunts. Still though, it's not as bad as what everyone moans about.
I'm not back from the dead - It's just that I have a job now, and it has enough downtime to go on the p.diddy Your bling meter is in the post, Joe! Actually, maybe i should shop it around to GEMS |

been a while between drinks!
Nothing much will probably happen in the next month.. We came to a dead end when MoTeC claimed the MY03 ECU would not support DBW, and the easiest option was to sell it and buy a M800 gold box... not fucking likely! Mid considering converting back to DBC, MoTeC come to the rescue with the news they are releasing a PNP M800 for the MY06, so I will send the MY03 ecu back and have the board replaced. Unfortunately its not going to be released for another month or so also we can't do too much more with the GT loom until we confirm the pinouts for the MY06-M800. here are some more pics of the progress to date Laille pitch mount (engine mount) versus stock Stacey trimming my expensive as shit GENUINE SUBARU coolant hoses to fit.. late model motor with GC8 radiator. that little bit he is lopping off is worth about $20 in hindsight it would probably have been a good idea to go silicon but i know these ones will last ages Ver2 STi loom sourced from Margaret River, brand spankers gear knob (big ups to foxey) stringing the loom around the front. The fuse box breaks up into ~4 pieces and you can thread it through a hole no bigger than a tennis ball. attached up the starter & alternator rest of the STi loom snaking through the centre grommets, figuring out what we do/don't need Type RA brake cylinder (non ABS, 2 circuits instead of 4) fitting the brake lines to this is one of the cuntiest parts of the conversion, right after swapping the steering rack and installing the aircon compressor As to one of the previous questions, here are some facts on the weight removal so far. The foam lined rubber sheet on the firewall was a total of 5kg Sound deadening tar from the firewall to the back seats 7.5kg. the boot is also full of tar yet to come out, im guessing 12-15kg total once its all gone I've swapped the stock GX splitfold rear seat with an RA non splitfold item. The RA seat is essentially 2 bits of foam with cloth on top, whereas the splitfold seats have metal hinges etc. The GX seat came to a total of 18kg while the RA seat came to 8.5kg. Not included in that is the metal bar that runs behind the RA seat (to stop you falling through!) which can't weigh more than half a kilo. 9kg saved! thats over 20kg saved while still retaining a full interior. still more to come tho
