Yes because powerfc has base maps that you cant afford to get tuned into your motec. jj

Actually, i'll take one for the team. I'll swap you your motec for my power fc.

Jester, Just a thought but did the engine cut problem only occur after I stuck the Princess sticker on the back?
By the way, I want my money back! |

Some more time to look at the MoTeC logs. Boost cut.
Just a bit more information for those playing at home. What each graph is, is named on the left. Manifold pressure is in kpa, 0 is full vacuum, 100 is 0psi boost. My boost aim is 220kpa (17.5psi), at the highlighted point (16 minutes 24 into the log) boost has spiked to 237.8kpa (20psi). At that point, you can see Injector 5 (the output on the motec we're using for boost control) has flagged a warning (overboost!) and moments later i've hit a boost cut, fuel cut as show in the spike in lambda and the drop in fuel pulse width, and subsequent drop in RPM. What gets me is it happened at the slow, twisty part of the circuit each time, which made me think its was fuel cut. obviously the boost just comes on much harder in the lower gears and the MoTeC is taking a little while to catch it. I already knew my boost was a little off, but i guess the lower gears and cold air of Collie made it spike. What's also intresting to note, is once the boost cut has finished, it goes back up to 235kpa. A few things to consider: Still using the factory LGT MAP sensor. Will replace it with the MoTeC MAP sensor (53003 MAP SENSOR 3 BAR (DELCO) ) Still using the factory LGT boost solenoid, potentially not reacting quick enough? Will replace it with a MAC or Denso etc item Potentially as the LGT isn't a performance car these items aren't up to the task, and as my tuner mentioned, the boost was already a bit hard to control. The good thing is i have the POWER OF MOTECZ, i have the logging to point out whats happening, and I also have the Lambda to control my airfuel ratio. Potentially a stock car / autronic / Link etc in the same situation might have had some pinging going on.
