Geoff gets the prize?
If you need a Delco type 3 bar M.A.P. sensor I have a box full that came with the Bosch plug leads, brand new old stock Ex Coventrys. Remember I was selling them out of the boot of my car at the last cruise? (With the genuine Rolex watches and shit) |

Hey bud you weren't the only one with spiking issues at Collie.
I got a knock warning coming onto the main straight in the AM session (2nd gear hairpin) and also onto the back straight, where I was coming out of the corner wot in 3rd at around 3500 rpm. Boost was spiking to 1.53 bar (22.2 Psi) @ 4100 rpm. A bad overshoot on a tune set up for 1.35 (19.6 psi), with an ecu that boost cuts .25bar over the target boost pressure....The Power Fc is obviously too short sighted to catch the spike early enough and effectively quell it. I pulled out 12% of the boost solenoid duty cycle to hold a peak of 1.39 for the remainder of the day..........Pulling W/gate duty effectively dulls down the boost response but doing so kept me relatively safe. Seems you were spiking around the same RPM @ wot as me..........Interesting! Chilly / humid air on the day perhaps? I've now gone back to the settings as tuned by Sean and the spiking has not returned.....Go figure!

It could potentially have something to do with the thinner air at Collie? some 2-300m above sea level? i don't know, but from here I'll start swapping things and try eliminate it. Bit annoyed i didn't work it out as boost cut before now, i would have liked to have done some mroe laps..
