Default AC headache

Hi guys, before I take my rexy to yet another overpriced know-nothing I'm hoping someone on here could shed some light on this one for me. I had the factory stereo removed and new deck installed. Around the same time I was told that my blow-off valve had been rubbing on an AC tube and made a hole. Had a new tube put in and AC was re-gassed. AC and stereo worked a treat on the way home from the shop that day. Next day I went to drive her and she had no AC again. I know there's a hundred things it could be but I've checked all the fuses and they're all working, fans and vent switches all working, stereo still working fine, but the AC button on the dash doesn't light up anymore, which makes me think that's the reason the AC isn't kicking in. Am I missing something? Could it be a relay? I don't want to fork out a heap of cash for something that could be relatively simple. This is my first post and any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance 😊

Take it back to the place that gassed it up. Sounds like it may have a leak

Yeah, no A/C light means no gas. At least mine did the same when it had none. Re-gassed it and on it went. +1 for leak.

Can almost guarantee it is a leak if you have checked the fuses.

If the clutch on the compressor isnt spinning, it will not be the TX regulator valve.

Sorry for the late reply, I've had trouble using the site for the past few days. Will be going back to the place it was re-gassed and having her re-checked for leaks and also the TX valve. At least now I have an idea of where to start and hopefully wont end up costing an arm and a leg.

I have 2 more questions. If this isnt the right thread/post/forum/place to put them I apologise - please let me know, I'm new at this but would like to learn.

1 - (Site related) I cant download the Perth-WRX app on my iphone or ipad because it says I'm in the wrong app store ?????

2 - (GC8) Was driving yesterday in some half decent rainfall and my 'go-pedal' foot got wet. I turned off all the vents, turned to recirc air and to dash but still had water. Any ideas?

If anyone has any feedback or knowledge about either it'd be appreciated

PS - Does anyone here go to Whoop Ass Wednesdays regularly?

You guys are brilliant - this site is amazing - thanks so much everyone

In regards to your app not downloading, you're possibly set to the wrong country.
You can fix this by logging in to your account on the app store. There should be an option to change it There. If not, there is an option in your settings menu to log in, which should automaticAlly change it.

Can't help with the water issue though, sorry.
