^^ All cars on finance must have full cover prior to leaving the yard as far as I'm aware.

I thought it was the finance company needed to sight a cover note
before they would hand over the funds/cheque.

Yep - Im going shopping around with my dad on tuesday to check out some of the WRX's for sale - Ive already tee'd up my Insurance now as its gotta be solid as a rock before I can take the car. Cant take any chances!

na, they will need the certificate of currency of the insurance policy, all done & fully paid up

I think after the hail damage fiasco alot of insurance companies made many number of changes... (ohnoes profits!!)

This was the case when I get finance.

Thing is its more of a check list item then anything else as the lady said they just need to sight it and ensure its validity at that point in time.
