Default Additions to the garage - RTFM

Well well,

Having just read the manual for my girl' new 2010 Volkswagen Tiguan TSI I get a reminder of what's missing from the Liberty.

1. Mirrors that fold in electrically
2. Mirrors that set a different position for reversing - the individual keys hold an individual's settings.
3. Convenience opening and closing of all windows with remote.
4. LAUNCH CONTROL

Traction control off, foot on brake, gear lever in sport or tiptronic, accelerator to 3200 RPM, foot off brake

Lots of nice toys in a Volkswagen.

EDIT - No nice toys in the Volkswagen it seems. All of the above features do not seem to exist when we tried to set them up in out aussie Tiguan. What a shame.

Thanks ... Still some thing to do. After years of dark cars the white has really grown me.

Nice to have something different

Nah ... No rubber yet either. Remember those teens ... 2 x 4 wisdom teeth each equals some oral surgeon on holiday somewhere nice and some delays on the mod front.

I've promised myself by the McCrae cruise :-S

Well, another day in the life of a Claremont carpark.

I'd like to thank (NOT) whatever idiot is incapable of parking their car. NO . . . bumpers are meant for accident protection - not for "tapping" into to tell when you can't go back any further.

So far, meeting the usual bumper repair for every 6 months (approximately) that I have had to deal with for well over 10 years now. Hopefully, Andrew will be able to buff it out (I hope) BUT I don't think so.

Might as well as have another beer.

EDIT - Was thinking I can't wait for the day that "bumper damage" is my fault - be such a pleasant change. I'd know who to abuse.

At this rate you need a spare bumper, one on the car & one in the panel shop as a change over. Either that or find a better place to park.

My trick is to park in the front most bay (parallel parking). People tend to have better judgement of their front then their rear.

And in the other parking method (is it called perpendicular parking then its too early, my brain isn't awake yet), I'll try to park in the left most bay. Other car's driver door definitely will be opened, passenger door opening is optional. (Doesn't work it the other person reverse parks but oh well)
