Given to Fly 83 at standard level
Default Hi All!!!!

Hi guys,

I'm moving over to Perth from Cairns Qld in 2 months for uni.

I've got an 06 STi. I love it! Although I haven't had it on my garage for the last 2 years as it is in Brisbane having some major mods put on. I'm due to pick it up in 2-3weeks for the run in tune. I don't know how I'm going to put 10k km's in 6 weeks but I'll give it go. The car is being tuned in Brissy.

If I was looking at getting the major tune done in Perth where is the best place or is there a shop that I can hire a dyno and fly the tuner from Brissy?

Also, I'm thinking of driving the car over. Has anyone driven from Adelaide to Perth or vis versa? If not driving, who's a good transport company?

I'mlooking forward to coming over and hopefully meeting a few of you and possibly do a few track days.

Cheers

Definately do not drive it over for its run in. As above, run-in is normally 1000km not 10,000km. Thats crazy talk.

Welcome
Check out CEVA for transport - less than $500 from Adelaide to Perth.
What uni are you heading to?

I have driven the Nullarbor from Perth to Adelaide and back to Perth, it is not that bad at all.
It also depends how much time you want to take for it and if you want to do some stops.
Especially when you get to Norseman, up to Kalgoorlie then to Perth, or go down to Esperance to Albany.
If you would like to take the car up to it's topspeed, you can.
But it would be more fun to put it on a truck to Perth and worry about the guy who parking your car ready for pick up, he will be tempted to burn some rubber.
it's just an idea, take your pick.
anyway good luck

Depends if they were in a can, haha
No haven't seen that many emu's,
a lot of dead kangaroos, couple of eagles ( not West Coast)
Right whales at the Head of Bight, between June and October.

I've driven through the nullarbor from Adelaide as well. Its not nearly as bad as some people claim, some very nice lookout points and whale-watching areas that have epic scenery. Just don't drive at sunrise or sunset to avoid kangeroos and you'll be set.
