Hey guys/girls

Just stopping by to introduce myself, as i have recently become the proud owner of a 2001 WRX STI. My name is Ben and ive only just moved back over to perth from over east. Im only a young one (18), but im still a big car fan.

I work week on week off in the mines up north, and just spend my r&r kicking back and relaxing.

Ive always had a thing for WRX's, and ive always wanted to buy one, and now i can finally say i have in my opinion, one of the best awd cars on road today

Well i was born and raised here in Perth.. Well, rockingham to be exact, then my dad got a job over in Townsville, QLD, for a few years, and we lived in a couple of cities over there, then dad got a job back here, and i was living out of home by that stage, but i got a job at a mine over here so i moved back over.

I must admit, alot has changed around Perth and the surrounding areas, i hardly recognise the place anymore

yeah we are forever growing. its good at the moment - they are spending money all over the place to get the city ready for CHOGM - making it look a bit prettier etc.

oh yes, back to the car stuff..

what's the aim with the vehicle? plans to track it? chasing hp?

I had an 02 sti as well.. had big plans. never really got off the ground though.. damn house buying!

What's done to it now?

yeah im pretty sure its a 01 MY02... umm aims, idk, i dont want it fully decked out. but i want it to have more grunt than what it does now.

I plan on taking it to the drags a couple of times just to see how it fairs up. But i dont want it to be too much cop bait.

And i work at Apex Gold, at Wiluna. Its about 11 hours drive from Perth

Oh, and the cars completly stock, except some aftermarket tail lights, and theres a 3 inch exhaust pipe from the turbo back, then stops and goes to a standars sti exhaust. Maybe too loud or something with the 3 inch running straight through, im not too sure
