Time for an update ....

retune is booked for Friday time to see how it responds to decent boost and timing

Also gave it a race car alignment

3° camber on front
5° castor up from 2.35 factory
2° camber rear

Managed to drop another 11 seconds off My Time at rac on the weekend compared to my best time last month at the club sprint round

Have been playing around with launch control settings I think I've finally found a good balance of spin and bog down makes about 5-10 psi on 3/4 throttle and takes off quiet well ... This launch was only one my mate filmed Sunday..

I went for second a touch early but give you an idea

sounds like the silicone intake is collapsing? Some of the low quality / ebay ones can pull in when the turbo starts sucking in lots of air.

For that to happen, you'd almost have to assume there was a restriction further up, unless perhaps the silicone ply is super thin, and just bad quality.

I think this was happening to Ash (baylee), on his rally car, and he is on E85. So it may be may be related to the power/torque/boost attributed to that type of tune.

Was it a 4 or 5 ply? What type and size of filter?

the air filter is a restriction. even the 1/2m of piping leading to the filter is a restriction. it may not seam like much, and you wouldnt think it could do such a thing. but you have to remember turbos can move a stupid volume of air.
