I have that exact one in my shed rich but its not even close to fitting ...

The inlet is a 5+ years old now and on the street I never get up high enough in the revs at the top of 5th to have noticed it before ...
I think it was a BPM 3 ply ...

I got a new 5 ply with some sort of steel banding thru it to go on for now I can't crush this buy hand where as the other could be rather easily ..... As for the ingaurd Intake that's got to go... We took the short fat bit out and it gained 25hp and 20nm .......... 345hp and 410nm on 1.3 bar @6000rpm

Here is the test we did on 08+ intake system. all four runs performed within 20 mins, under stock tune without maf scaling. red line is AEM cold air intake; green line is with stock air box and filter; dark blue is with no air box no filter nut with stock piping; light blue is with no air box but with stock filter.

http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbob...pressure_ratio
more vacuum(intake depression) in the inlet, turbo shaft speed will be higher; at high air flow rate, it would further decrease efficiency. On my car, stock air box had 0.05 bar depression on stock boost, while AEM had 0.02bar.

what are you going to do as far as CAI/in guard filter etc? Which pod filter do you have? would putting a bigger filter, or even a "T" piece and a second filter flow enough air. or is it a problem with the piping combo?

maybe juat stick a huge filter right on the end of the intake? you dont usr MAF anymore do you? or only use it for air temp values?

makes me wonder about my setup now. have a 3inch inlet dom 2.5-10cm and psr branded 3 inch intake coming. 70mm ID MAF housing. and 3inch pipe to the pod filter. pod is a medium sized KnN. maybe i should upgrade the pod filter to the biggest i can find as preventitive maintanance?
