Default The rexy bug has bitten again.

Hey guys and girls, as the title states I m in the market for another car and I have decided that car will be a wrx. I am looking at the 2009-2011 model ( if any one has any tips on what to look for it would be appreciated) Eg: common problems.

Im a bike guy at heart and my Duc is always my priority when it comes to servicing and mods (i will wait for the ducati jokes ) at the end of the day need a car and I loved my last wrx.

Any way hey again hope to meet a few of on a cruise some day.

Cheers Josh.

Josh forget 09. As you will quickly realise you need to upgrade the turbo from the TD04. Heaps of info available on here. Welcome and enjoy!!

HAHAHHAHA. The clutch noise is an acquired taste.

I will post some pics of the big girl up shortly.

Another question for you wrexy subject matter experts. Is there much difference between the 2010 and the 2011 model. Looking at the specs there is not much difference, I would rather get the info from people in the know.

Changes for the 2011 model include but aren't limited only to the following...
  • wide body kit (e.g. same as the STI)
  • wider rims (17x8 instead of 17x7 and now running 235/45R17 tyres), 1" wider track
  • 6 stack CD player is replaced with single CD player and the unit now has bluetooth and bluetooth controls (on the steering wheel, you do lose the mute button on the steering wheel though)
  • Hatch now has the quad tip exhaust arrangement like the STI has
  • Sedan has a better flowing and noisier exhaust (comes with a bit of free drone as well )

Sure that there are a few more, but that is all that comes to mind at the moment.

Better styling, slightly wider track, slightly wider tires (I think) and probably stiffer suspension again. Huggy B and Soksta can probably shed more light.

Hands down the 2011 looks a fuckload better than anything 2008-2010 but it depends on your budget.

edit: beaten. cnut.
