Anyway, Darren... from what I've read (found out) and from what Kato said above, get yourself an early GD STI (an 02 Bug would be a great platform).. You really want the 6 speed and brembo's off the bat. IMO it's not worth wasting your time trying to get an old GC up GD STI spec, it'll cost you a bomb!

It is funny though, Alex is a demon in his standard WRX, completely wipped my arse.. in that example a 6 speed and brembo's did nothing! All down to driving ability (and willingness to sacrifice one's car haha).

Yeah... you should have. We both had road tyres... Dont forget my rears were so shit I couldnt turn + power at the same time (RE Reccy lap spin-out).
