STI all the way. Save money on the front mount and spend it on suspension mods. the car you have now and the one you are looking at are completely different. the F6 is a straight line car where as the STi is a playful car. Save money on engine mods and bomb money into the suspension/handling. Then the car will come alive.. But really its a 2012 STi, it will all ready be wildly awesome.

Friend convinced me to go STi over standard wrx and I don't regret a second of it. Coming from and SSV and SS before that, it's an awesome handling machine! Love it to bits! Much better platform to build on!

STi all the way. The hatch looks great, would be my personal choice.

If the price for a 2012 is out of range, see if you can land a 2011. Wouldn't get a 08-09 though - steer clear of those.

Why are you ditching the F6? No traction for your 380rwkw hence wanting 4WD?

It will take substantially more coin to get to 380awkw in a STI, than it will in a F6, just so you know, if not already.

Even 300awkw is a fairly big build. If you're going for this then buy someone elses who is selling.

Thanks guys for all the information. Im looking at just getting a bit more than stock out of the car but i want to focus more on handling and ride comfort.

I understand there is a bit more than bolting a turbo on a 4L as it was in the ford.

I bought my own MY12 wrx from osbourne park subaru, fantastic service and can get exactly what you want, I highly recommend them for your search for your sti =]
