Reading up on it a bit on other AU forums. No longer a Brant in 11+ (maybe 08+?)

US model gets valet mode but Aus doesn't. Means you need to give your code to mechanic/carwash/whoever you leave your car with. Not a big issue for me.

I assume they mount the keypad for you as well? IE you don't have to open the fuse box each time?

Wonder if/what Subaru will charge us to activate?

I figure I put a pin into my phone a 100 times a day, not a big deal to do the same whenever I drive my car.

When I asked about the keypad (back in 2008) they said there is enough cable in the loom to pull the keypad up and mount it near the vent.

Won't be too hard to look under the steering wheel area to see if this is the case or not.

I'm fairly sure it's no charge. Bugger mounting it in view. I'll keep the fucker hidden/facing inwards so then if any c#@t gets my keys they're going to be confused as fuck.

I spoke to Craig @ City Subaru service just then.

Roughly $75 (depending on how long it takes them) -10% PWRX discount.

Cable isn't very long so they can only mount it right outside the fusebox thingy.

9 outa 10 people that get it enabled bring it back coz they hate it.
