Of all cars to steal...why a bright orange easily spotted one. I guess they aren't exactly smart anyway.

Wouldn't want it back after the oxygen thieves have been thrashing the crap out of it. Hope for the owners sake they have the car insured for a decent amount.
I think that would have been for "Axel Winmar" who Police had been looking for, for some time. He ended up apprehended in Armadale.

To the owner - that sucks - I would be gutted. F**k*ing lowlifes.

As for the PIN code on the new WRX's, both our MY08 and MY11 didn't have it enabled by the dealers. I'm of the opinion, if they are willing to break into your house to get the keys, then they are just as likely to come back for the PIN. Not worth the risk.

I was thinking the same Steve.
Come back a minute later for the code and cop a baseball bat to the jaw.....

All the more reason to get the keypad installed!

Autowatch 555 with anti-hijack would be a wise decision. They can steal the keys and get the car started, they will get down the road for as far as 90 seconds of driving will get them but then it will go into hijack mode. They are going to be far enough away to not bother coming back to get the owner to get it going. And with a car stalled on a road with a siren screaming and lights flashing they aren't going to spend a great deal of time staying with it.
