Because they hate it/find it annoying or because it fucks up?

I would get it activated, personally doesn't bother me after a wk or so it just becomes habit to hope in the goto ignition, put the pin in then off you go. I'm happy to live with taking 5 seconds longer to start up for the extra security it gives.

Bad luck about the car

Yeh, that's what I was getting at... I'm not sure the dealer would tell you if it were a case of it fucking up. An excuse for them to get you to drop your pants and touch your ankles when they try convincing you it needs replacing.

"yeh nah,I'll go get an Autowatch thanks"

Why do people who spend big bucks on a new, nearly new or any decent car actually, and not get either a decent security alarm, tracking system or both fitted. Its a small price to pay to protect your pride and joy.

Dont make sense to me

The current WRXs have a decent alarm/immobiliser in them. Just doesnt help when they get a hold of the keys.

I find it odd that Subaru supply a system and then don't activate it. Then charge to set it up.
IMO it should be setup and part of the handover and included in the purchase price.

Think you can get it activated for free when you buy the car, but every dealer seems to say its a pain and advise against it. That's why I didn't bother. Plus i just got told

These are branded Sigma. Same company (as Brant) different brands.
After all the hype about the previous systems, guess why the dealer did not commission them on the new car and left the decision to the owners?

I've seen over 10 undercover cop cars going down Albany Hwy and up onto the Kenwick Link towards Maddington way. Something was going down but I didn't see no orange wrx unless I missed it.
Wouldn't want it back after the oxygen thieves have been thrashing the crap out of it. Hope for the owners sake they have the car insured for a decent amount.

If a dealer convinced me that a security feature on my car was a pain and not to bother activating it, and then my car got stolen, I would be mightily pissed off
