Get something fwd with a little bit of power. VVTI Sportivo/ Celica, or a DC5R etc...

Start doing skidpans and tuning arvos etc....

That's what i did..before eventually getting an STI. Also don't waste money modding shit old cars.

Whats your level of driving experience? I know 15 year olds that can out drive far older people,
and could quite easily handle a WRX as a first car. But they have been driving for a few years already.

If you buy a WRX as your first car, take the time to go and do advanced driving lessons.
Every new P-plater should anyway.

If you dont think you are ready, then good for you for admitting to it, and go buy an Impreza RS.

I have gotten 15ish hours of driving experience so i wouldnt say i could outdrive someone alot older than me but i would say i am definatly progressing everything now is seconds nature
When i get my hours in and have passed my test im going to do a defenceive driving course or advanced driving course..
What about a non Turbo impreza.

No drivers lic is needed at all.

It's a great way to learn car control at relatively low speeds, and great fun.
My son has done it from age 12, and I still enjoy getting out there.

Motorkhana WA
How do i get one of these licences do i get it on the day or do i have to apply prior to the event

Only problem is my car isnt running atm and mum wouldnt let me use her brand new CX5..

No. You will need a speed licence. You want a L2SJ.
You just need to get your parents to sign it.

Level 2 Speed Junior (not non-Speed)
The form/costs are exactly the same. Will allow you do much more than just khanas.

Any car will do for a khana: daily driver, mum's shopping trolley, or even a bunky. Doesn't need to be licensed, so long as it runs and has safe steering/brakes/seat belt.

If you have no track experience, skidpans and tuning arvos would be my recommendation, they require no Cams license.

Do a few of those, and see where you are at/ if you like it before committing to a CAMs membership/ car club membership/ fire extinguisher etc etc

Also i wouldn't touch a non turbo impreza...something like a low km dc5R is much better
