If so then it's something to think about for those who think about deactivating or removing them without first checking with their ins co....

That's a damn shame insurence is not going to cover it, I wounder if it had an after market imoboliser or if the brant was Simply removed/ de-activated. I would be telling the insurence that the thevies had removed it and not myself.
Sounds like baseball bat justice time either way

What insurance company? Name and shame. The pin code feature is never turned on from the dealership so surely they cannot deny the claim based on that.
