Insurance not paying out because Brant system wasn't active? If so then it's something to think about for those
who think about deactivating or removing them without first checking with their ins co....

That's a damn shame insurence is not going to cover it, I wounder if it had an after market imoboliser or if the brant was Simply removed/ de-activated. I would be telling the insurence that the thevies had removed it and not myself.
Sounds like baseball bat justice time either way

What insurance company? Name and shame. The pin code feature is never turned on from the dealership so surely they cannot deny the claim based on that.

If they can find a reason not to pay out, they'll jump at it. More than likely alarm related, unless they gave false details of where it was parked overnight or whatever.

Really shits me how insurance companies can do this, assuming the owner has done nothing wrong...

Shouldn't matter as I was told from Subaru they still have the chipped key that is an immobilizer?
