I could co-driver for you - Might be a better idea to get my foot in the door rather than go and smash my car to bits?

The liberal use of solid concrete barriers (when plastic ones and/or bollards would do the same job) bothers me about this series - the gap between near miss and write-off/injury is very small.

Yes i dont get that either Fred.. Every time ive been there i have seen some offs which have caused major damage which could prolly be avoided by using plastic barriers..

Have you suggested this Fred?

Im guessing - plex already has these, so its cheaper to just use them than hire plastic ones.

Big reason to stop me from entering this series! I think its luducrous to use those stupid big concrete bollards with non caged cars. Rediculous.

Nope. I've just not entered the event for this sole reason (same reason why I haven't done the Busso ARC sprint).

You can take all the care in the world, but if you're unlucky enough to have a mechanical/brake failure, foot slip off the brake pedal and/or hit someone else's fluid they just dropped in the braking zone/apex, etc - FUCKIN BANG!

With the barriers positioned where they are, you should only do this event with a caged car & a HANS device.

A plastic barrier will still cause damage but not to the same extent as solid concrete.

Risk vs reward balance isn't there IMO.

Fred makes a pretty good point.
Anyone who knows/sees Dieter regularly want to raise this with him?

I am sure Dieter would be aware of this, but i am sure he can hook you up with a cage at a decent rate!

I might be up for this, i have lost a bit of interest at the moment but am sure to get it back before this starts!

Yeah cage would be great, but 99% of people here own street cars.
