I've made the choice the skip these events (as much as I really want to do it).

Each to their own but don't overlook the safety issues. I'm happy to "risk it" against the kerbs, poles, bollards & other permanent objects at the motorplex that you need to dodge, but the temporary concrete barriers are an issue (for me).

I see Freds point. How many people here are happy to throw away 70k by putting a car into a barrier?

My car is worth 1/10th of that and even I cant afford to throw that away

There is the answer then, it's not a matter of roll cage then it is a cost factor!

I know what you mean about throwing away money but if you are competing then you should be prepared to bin the thing (cos it could happen regardless of removable barriers!)

I actually think some of the bollards would do as much if not more damage anyway...
