I think most people are getting mixed with the white sticker such as EJ207DW4EJ that is usually found on the Cam covers or the rear of the heads on the pax side.

You can check the codes on the pistons - the grade indicates the variant.
something like ......(Tuna might be able to confirm) AAAA - rare ABAB - EJ207 BBBB - EJ205 also stamped on the block somewhere..... Last edited by Booga; 31-08-2007 at 11:00 AM. |

heh,
you can tell the short block type by looking at the pistons. the AAAA/ABAB/ACAC/ADAD codes are a little misleading between the variants
