Default advice turbo, ecu and tune

looking to get some more power from my 98 wrx club spec evo 2, current engine mods are STi injectors and 3 inch turbo back zorst estimated 150kw ATW also has forged internals although has done 200 thousand kms, recomendations of how far to push the engine in terms of boost etc?? looking for around 200 kw at the wheels on a budget of 4-5 grand

at this stage i would be thinking of going for a new vf34 and power FC ecu and tune of course

advice, suggestions and prices please

vf34 and Power FC is fine for 200kw ATW

but you'll want to upgrade the injectors as the stock 380cc units will not be able to flow enough for 200 kw atw. Id recommend something along the lines of 550cc for your injectors. And while your at it get a new fuel pump as your current one is getting old and you dont want to risk lean outs at high RPM. A Walbro fuel pump is a straight bolt on.

Give me beer and I will tell all!!!

Until then have a look at a few of the most recent threads with a shit load of very similar info...

http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/showthre...1&page=1&pp=10

Dis-regard E4LUTION's comment about the AFM. Its a far sturdier unit on the 98 WRX. Its only the 99/00 models that have fragile ones!!!

Power FC with handcontroller 2nd hand $600-800

Turbo VF34 or VF39 even a VF28 or VF35 will be good!!!! $800-$1200

Twin Scroll VF36/37 + associated headers / dump pipe etc if your really want minimal lag!!! $3k ish

Upgrade the TMIC if you have not already done so. $400-800
Water meth injection if you really want to go nuts. $1500 ???
