Default Fitting Autronic on MY03 WRX

Greetings fellas, I'm looking to fit autronics on my 03 rex and I'm wondering if removing the cat would be advisable or is it a must with ALS.

Driving habit wise, I won't be running ALS a whole lot. Probably just for drags.

Current level of mods are apexi pod filters and 3" X force TBE.

Future mods, I'll be looking at FMIC, fuel injectors and pumps. Having doubts about running on TD04 since it can't take a whole lot of punishment from ALS.

Appreciate the feedback.

if you want to run anti lag, you'll have to remove the cat
otherwise it will melt it from the heat

and TD04 or not, anti lag will kill the turbo if used too much
yes, the rally boys use it, but they also have the ability to change out their turbo on a more regular basis

i would get all the other mods first and do the tune in one hit

For extended period of time, I'm aware it will. For short period of time eg, drags no longer then 30 secs per run and not very frequent per month, I'm not sure.

X force is running on 1 Hi flow cat and 1 reson so I'm wondering if it is really necessary to remove it considering short term usage of ALS.

Does the removal of cat depend on for eg. long (30 mins) or short term (30 secs) ? Or do we have to remove it either way.

My X force is pretty loud at the moment. I'm afraid that removing the cat will increase the db even further and I've already set off quite a number of car alarms as it is.

an empty cat will make it drone in the car as well as sound tinny

no cat will also make it a little louder
