Which potenza's did you get mitch?
(getting kuhmos ku-36's in a few weeks but its always good to have as much feedback on different tyres as possible)

I'll be jumping aboard the KU36 bandwagon as soon as my tires have worn out.

hi everyone,
just have a quick question, well today went and purchased 2 new (bridgestone potenza RE 001 Adrenalin 225/45 R17). Got them put on, now i noticed that the original 2 i had on are "94 w" the new ones they put on are "91 w" does that make much of a difference? thanks in advance. *Running "91w" fronts and "94 w" on the rears. |

Are "R" coded tyres an insurance risk?
Quote:
If any tyre is below the load/speed rating your vehicle is defective and be assured in an accident an assessor WILL check. The different load rating could suggest that the newer RE001s have a softer sidewall. Reference links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tire_code http://www.tyrepower.com.au/tyre_load.aspx http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp As a question to others: Can I assume there are no insurance issues with running semi-race code tyres on the street? I'm not planning on running all the time but say on a cruise day / RAC day ??? Am I legal to drive on the rubber?

Should have spoken to John at wheels world as suggested then
all you questions would have been answered at once before you went and bought these Tyres. Oh and for those who don't know Wheels World gives a PWRX club discount, all you have to do is mention it when it comes time to pay!

I would replace all 4 tyres at the same time.
Saying that, I don't know any diffs that have gone boom because the tyre treads were slightly different.
