I think all turbo brands have their own "special" way of doing things. I've been the local WA dealer for Gt Pumps now for a number of years and can honestly say that having Mark "just" in Sydney is awsome. He's got his own workshop for rebuilds/assemblies etc and does alot of R&D before and after new turbo's are released.

wats wrong with trust turbo, they area sleeve type bearing, they work fairly well and can produce friggan BIG numbers and cheap, as long as you take the last 2 numbers off..

EVO's Twin Scroll Turbos do make a difference tho, particularly in regard to response - especially when compared to the STi/WRX single scroll turbos.

I will never touch any of these turbo's ever again... FP Green TD06 lasted 2000km before blowing the bearing seals and shitting itself... all are china no matter which way you put them...

invest in decent turbo's like TRUST, HKS, even garrett with a modified mounting to fit etc...

EXAMPLE:

FP Green TD06-20G Turbocharger @ 1.8bar on a 2.2L Cosworth Stroker Motor with full internals, heads and cams etc, motec ecu, blah blah!... 335hp and 440Nm torque... died after 2000km which consisted of 1300km run in before tuning new motor and 700km tuned including about 150km on track for the first two days of dutton rally last year.

TRUST TD06-20G Turbo Kit - exact same setup on car, only turbo changed - 380hp at 1.5bar & 480Nm and 410hp at 1.7bar and 492Nm... both of which on safe tunes

Tell me which you think is the better performing more efficient turbo... oh and the TRUST turbo has already done over 7000kms and been raced flat out for 19 laps at barbagallo plus multiple track days/nights etc, and also responds 600rpm earlier than the FP Green.

Make your own minds up boys and girls

The same as buying a pen from two places.
One from the $2 shop.
The other from a pen shop.

Now with the Yen turned to crap, the price difference will be alot more, but when i bought mine it was about $2800 difference, however that was for a complete kit rather than just a turbo. So with the Trust kit you get the adpator to bolt onto your manifold, a trust dump pipe, trust external wastegate, braided lines for oil and wastegate vacuum lines, air intake pipe and gaskets. So you're paying for an extensive bolt on complete kit rather than just a turbo made to fit standard flanges etc.
