since when do we give a rats ass about aus spec?

the 08 sti conversion is the way to go. 200+kws atw's and 500+nm's on u98, 6 speed with the latest tricky diffs, not forgetting the brakes...do a motec pnp and diff controller with a nice set of dms50's and you my friend have a winning car that only stands out from the crowd but can whip anything out there (in the right hands that is, not mine, cause i have a habit of crashing)

more a function that it affords me the temptation to use it in the 201 than anything else. with the 5 speed you better have the rest of the driveline to cope, diffs, dccd, shafts, 180 rear, twin (or triple plate) clutch. in that respect it then becomes a worthwhile solution but the 10+ year old technology in the diffs makes the smarter later model dccd's the better choice. auto when you want it and full manual when the need arises with infinite variations on the theme curtisy of diff controllers.

yea have enquired into that the thing is i dont have all the money now. im kinda paying as i go for the conversion so i cant really afford to go out and spend 20k on the driveline and then spend big $$ on getting it installed aswell all at once.

Was searching through the forums for some info for a new project and found this thread.
Would just like to apologize for being a bit of a doucher back then.
But would also like to point out that I did end up with a 257 although it wasn't my build I still enjoy it a butload. And although it isn't in a gc it goes more than fast enough for me.

That is all.
